May 2016 Meeting Notes

The meeting was called to order by President Ritchie Farrell at 8:03 pm. The minutes were read and with changes of three trophies for $20 each not two trophies. Treasurer Brenda Lagasse reported the checking and savings.

Lana Stolzenburg and Susan Sterling backed out of the Concession Stand Committee. With Kandi Buchwald not here, Susan made a motion to offer the concession stand during the Rodeo to the CHS Booster Club. Brenda seconded and the motion passed.

Ritchie talked with Ken Johnson at Tom’s Music House about our PA system. Ken says that our system is good. There is one horn not connected on the south side. There are no horns on the north side of the arena. To replace the cable on the south side Tom’s will sell us cable for $.75/ft. and horns are $100 each. A wireless mic will cost us $5,000 and a wireless headset is $700. Lana made a motion to pay for the wiring for speakers at the arena and look at upgrades later in the year.

Monday’s Work Night, Brenda measured for shelves and boards for the grand stand. The city’s house on a trailer was moved by someone and a tire is ruined.

NBHA will be here on Saturday and Earl Hale said he would run the tractor for them.

Cynthia Weber resigned from her duties in the Club. Debra Hubert was on the ballot at the Annual Meeting, Ritchie will ask her to take Cynthia’s spot on the Board of Directors.
