March 2016 Meeting Notes

President Ritchie Farrell called the meeting to order at 8:50 pm after a presentation about Equine Nutrition by Jamison Gross from Cloud County Community College. The minutes were read and approved. Brenda Lagasse, Treasurer, reported the checking and savings. Cynthia Weber had found a used refrigerator for $50 to replace the one in the South Concession Stand that no longer closes. Donna Barleen made a motion to pay for the refrigerator and Brittany Deneault seconded it. The motion passed.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors met in January to review the list of projects and select committee chair positions. The committees and their chairmen are as follows: Activities Committee, Donna Barleen; Trail Ride Committee, Charles Hansen; Rodeo Committee, Lance Lagasse; Rodeo Queen Committee, Erin Urban; Arena Maintenance Committee, Don Stolzenburg; Promotional Committee, Erin Urban; Annual Year-End Party Committee, Ritchie Farrell; and Drill Team Committee, Eric Voss. Since no one signed up for the Concession Stand Committee, the Rodeo Committee will look at having an outside group run it for the Rodeo.

Annual Rodeo
Our Annual Rodeo will be Wednesday, July 27th and Thursday, July 28th. Lance made a motion to keep the added money the same a last year. Davanie Robison seconded the motion and the motion passed. Lance asked if the Club could pay out $750 a side for the Team Roping if he could get the extra sponsorships to cover it. This means for the Team Roping both contestants get $750 instead of splitting $750. Ritchie had no objections to it.

High School Rodeo
Lance is going to put in a bid for the weekend of August 20th for the High school Rodeo. Ritchie made a motion to place a bid for August 20th for the High School Rodeo, Brittany seconded it, and the motion passed.

Activities Committee
March 13th is the Monthly Trail Ride at 1:30 pm at Kanopolis State Park.

Brenda Lagasse made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Brittany seconded it, and the motion passed.
