January 2022 Meeting Notes
Minutes NCK Saddle Club January 4, 2022
President Ritchie Farrell called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm at the Fire Station Meeting Room.
The minutes were approved as read. The Treasurer’s report was not available.
Old Business:
The lighting project on the south side of the Arena has been completed.
The tarps for the shades still need to be put away, they are currently in a stall in the horse barn.
New Business- Lighting for the North side of the Arena was discussed. Brenda will check on the cost of the fixtures. It was moved and seconded to have Jason Wheeler order the fixtures. A grant can be applied for later. The old lights have been placed in storage.
Insurance- The bill will be $640 for insurance through Horsemen’s United. The insurance would cover spectators at events. It was moved, seconded, and passed that we pay the $640 to Horsemen’s United for insurance.
It was moved, seconded, and passed to pay EKHA dues for 2022.
Other:
The dirt has been spread out in the covered Arena. The alleyway in the main arena has been built up with dirt.
The activities committee will meet after the regular meeting on February 2.
The Annual BOD meeting will be at 7:00pm on Monday, January 17, at the Fire Station meeting Room.
Charlie will host a trail ride at his place on Sunday, January 9th. Anyone who wants to ride is welcome.
