January 2018 Meeting Notes

The meeting was called to order by President Ritchie Farrell. There were no minutes read and the checking and savings were reported. Aggie Moore made a motion to keep and pay our insurance. Donna Barleen seconded and the motion passed.

Old Business

Jimmy Cruthers will work with us on Co-sanctioning and adding breakaway roping to our rodeo. Dates for 2018 Rodeo are Wednesday, July 25, and Thursday, July 26.

The Open Horse Show with the Cloud County Fair will be Sunday, July 22.

New Business

We need to see about getting a new battery for our tractor, will see if the tractor has an alternator.

Board of Directors Meeting will be Wednesday, January 24, at 7:00 pm in Lance’s Office.

We will see about bringing in a Highway Patrol to explain the new laws and regulations at a meeting.

Fairboard is now charging for use of the covered arena and stalls.
Rental (for Profit)
Covered Arena   $100/day     +$100 for cleanup
Stalls                    $20/day      +75 for cleanup
Hookups              $15

There is a beef show scheduled for June 1 & 2 and Shooting Sports dates are January 21, February 18, March 18, April 8 & 29.

EKHA would like us to host a show. We will need to provide arena prep and tractor. Ritchie Farrell made a motion to host an EKHA Horse Show on June 23 &24. Brenda Lagasse and Terry Greer seconded. The motion passed.

Donna Barleen will schedule the Equine Health Fair for the end of March or the beginning of April.
