February 2018 Meeting Notes

The meeting was called to order by President Ritchie Farrell. The minutes for January were read and approved. The checking and savings account balances were reported. It was decided to pay for two years of trophies to the 4-H club horse events. Eric Voss said that he was planning on having the Kyra Voss Memorial Roping and Barrel Race again, but hadn’t set a date yet. Donna Barleen gave the activities calendar report stating that the Vet Clinic will be April 7th and 9:00 a.m. Various farriers were discussed. Trail Rides will be the second Sunday of each month. The EKHA horse show will be June 23 & 24. Wednesday nights at the arena, starting in June, will be reserved for the 4-H horse practice.  

New Business:

It was discussed about putting up a donation box by the arena for people using stalls and electricity over-night. Also, the City might have some additional funds available to help sponsor some events.

The Rodeo Committee is having a meeting on Wednesday, Feb 21.
